Human Resources (HR)/Training/Occupational Health Centre are responsible for external recruitment, internal staffing, HR policies, salary & benefit administration, employee relations & activities, training & development and employee health & medical services.

There are seven main production areas on the plant. These include: two small scale and one large scale facility dedicated to the production of intermediates, a large scale facility dedicated to the production of animal health products, two large scale facilities which campaign a number of products aimed at neurological, endocrinological & cardiovascular diseases and a clean manufacturing facility.

The production departments are staffed with cross-functional teams representing operations, chemistry (Manufacturing, Science & Technology MS&T or Technical Operations), engineering (Tech Ops/Process/Projects) and other support roles to provide focus around particular product trains. These groups (plus Asset Management/Maintenance etc.) support the efficient running of existing operations and transfer in of new products.

Customer Services/Warehouse are involved in production planning, capacity management (are we making the right products on the right site at the right time?) and sales order processing right through to shipment.

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) are responsible for such areas as waste management policies & facilities, industrial hygiene, material safety, occupational health, emergency response and process safety.

QCL Analytical utilises a variety of monitoring equipment to assess the quality of all raw materials, intermediates and final products used or produced on the plant. Materials cannot be released for further use until they have met the predetermined specifications.

Quality Assurance independently provide assurance that all of the company quality policies and systems are adhered to throughout all stages of product manufacture from receipt of raw materials, storage, production, packaging, testing to shipping and use in the next stage.

Process Automation & IT work to deliver new technologies and support existing control systems in the highly automated facility. The systems in use provide a high degree of control on all operations and also include significant analysis facilities.

Financial is responsible for company inventory management & costing, financials/treasury, taxation, internal auditing, site financial planning, capital/fixed asset management, corporate reporting as well as liasing with Lilly international financial teams.

Procurement is responsible for the acquisition/purchase of raw materials, capital & engineering supplies as well as contract tendering & negotiation with local & international suppliers. They also manage supplier performance through a "Quality Vendor" recognition program.

Facilities incorporates Security, cafeteria and building & grounds.
