Global Business Solutions (GBS) Careers

We view our people as our greatest asset and being part of our team is about being part of an open, welcoming and inclusive culture, one that thrives on diversity.

We live and breathe the words of Colonel Eli Lilly himself – “take what you find here and make it better and better”. A continuous improvement mindset is applied not only to our life-changing science, but to every aspect of the business. We recognise those working on a process are those best placed to identify the change that may be needed. Therefore, we want to grow your role into an empowering and fulfilling career at Lilly.

Onsite People Development services, Educational Assistance, Flexible Working options and our Live Your BEST Life wellbeing initiatives are just some of the holistic benefits that await all GBS employees. We also equip leaders so they can nurture and develop our people. Our leadership support scored in the top 20% of all companies surveyed in the 2019 Work PositiveCI survey conducted in association with the University of Ulster.

Our unique culture and connection with the community in which we operate is further enhanced by the work of dedicated employee committees such as Diversity & Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility, and annual initiatives including Lilly’s Global Day of Service.

So Be Creative, Be an Innovator, and most of all, Be Yourself!

Live Your BEST Life at Lilly GBS

Our ‘Live Your BEST Life’ wellbeing initiative is an evidence-based strategy with the aim to not only reduce poor health, but to move towards positive health, which is a subtle but important difference. Our four pillars of Physical Health, Positive Work Environment, Specialist Support and Positive Mental Health enable us to make a difference in our employees’ lives, at work and personally.
One initiative of note is our collaboration with Mental Health First Aid Ireland where several managers and employees have been trained as Mental Health First Aiders. The programme teaches them how to assist someone who is developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Support is given until appropriate professional support is received or until the crisis is resolved.

In terms of Physical Health and Positive Work Environment we have also introduced:

  • Electric Sit/Stand Desks

  • Onsite Gym, Occupational Health Centre, Mothers’ Room

  • Wellness and Relaxation Rooms

  • Innovation and Collaboration Spaces
